An issue with saving leads.

Request: The customer has reached out to us with their concern regarding an issue with saving leads.

Checklist:

  • We must check if the customer has got an error message while saving the leads or gather a screenshot of the error message if not shared by the customer.

CASE 1: An error pops up while saving the leads stating that the leads could not be saved as it contains Numerical/Text.

Error message:

Your Action Could not be performed, Please Check all the values and Try Again. If the problem persists contact our help desk at help@kapturecrm.com


Procedure:

  • In this case, we must go ahead check the field data type set from the Lead additional field configuration page.

    PARTNER CONFIGURATION>LEAD>FIELDS>LEAD ADDITIONAL FIELD CONFIGURATION






  • If the field data type is set to Numeric, the lead should be entered in the Numeric format and not Numeric with decimal format as this would throw an error.
  • If the customer wants the field to accept the leads in a Alphanumeric format, we can go ahead change the field data type to TEXT as it accepts alphanumeric inputs.


CASE 2: When there an error message "Unable to save the leads" asking to contact Kapture Support.

Checklist:

  • We must check if the server is slow when the issue was raised by the customer.
  • We must gather the lead details if the issue persists.

Procedure:

  • We can go ahead and manually add the leads if the leads provided are below 10.
  • If the number of leads to be saved is high, we can request the customer to provide the leads in an excel format so that we can upload the same.
  • In order to upload the leads using excel, we can go ahead and use the "Import Customer Excel" option.
  • We can then click on "Download Sample excel sheet" and add the provided information.
  • Once we have added the relevant information, we can browse the file and click on "Upload Excel".


Action:

  • Follow the mentioned procedure.
  • If the issue persists, please raise this issue on JIRA | Team A.
